CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING 7/12/2025 NURSE RETIRES AFTER 51 YEARS / BENIDORM BASH MATCH OFF / NEWS / EVENTS
Compiled by Tony Wallis of 'Talk Castleford with Tony’
Good morning, people of Castleford.
NHS staff work with dedication and at times under stress. We do appreciate their services. Today the BBC reports on a nurse who who has retired after 51 years of dedication.
There is an armed forces covenant by which we show appreciation for present and former members of the armed forces. Do you think we should have a similar scheme for NHS past and present workers?
The 16 Days of Action against gender-based violence runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. The charity IDAS (Independent Domestic Abuse Services) has developed resources and tools to help. They can be found here: https://idas.org.uk/16-days/
