Good morning, people of Castleford.

One day left to the highlight of winter. What, Christmas so early this year? Okay, second highlight, the Castleford Christmas Lights Switch on. 

The fun starts at 12 noon and after the schools close come into town to join in the family activities, including in the library activities from 3pm, arranged by staff and the Friends of Castleford Library (FOCAL).

Let me know your bonfire night tales. Today, two good news items about improving our town centre. The third of three murals has been given the go ahead. This is for the Bancroft Road subway. The subway has had a reputation for being unfriendly but this news marks a positive change. I'm looking forward to the 'Destination Castleford' boards. What do you think of the idea?
