CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING OF NEWS AND EVENTS 12 SEPTEMBER 2025
Compiled by Tony Wallis
One thing that has always interested me is the need for better training, education and job opportunities within Castleford, especially for our adults. That is why I eagerly awaited the report of the Wakefield Futures Commission chaired by Professor Sir Chris Husbands. The report has just been published (see’News’ below). What do you think of the education and job prospects for school and college leavers in Castleford?
Every morning I compile a helpful briefing of the latest news and events for Castleford. Initially intended to help me as a local councillor, I now publish it to the public. I hope you find it useful.
