CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING 30 MAY 2025
CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING - FRIDAY 30th MAY 2025
Compiled by Tony Wallis
Yesterday evening, I attended the PACT meeting where the police meet local residents from the town centre area. We are concerned about the intimidating behavior of a gang of about a dozen young people roaming the area causing nuisance for others. The police and the council’s ASB officers are to step up extra patrols, while other agencies are looking into a resolution of the causes of the problem. While visitors find the town centre safe, residents and businesses are bothered by these youths’ behaviour.
Every morning, to make my work as a local councillor more efficient, I search the web for a daily briefing of news and events. While it was originally for my benefit, I’ve realised it is a service to share with others. It is a briefing so just headlines and sources I’ve come across and checked.
Please let me know if there are any events or news you think I need to add. Contact details are on the home page of this blog.
Regards,
Tony.
