CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING 20/11/2025 - ICE RINK RETURNS / HELPING HOMELESS IN WINTER/ NEWS / EVENTS / SURVEYS
20 November 2025 Compiled by Tony Wallis of 'Talk Castleford with Tony’
Good morning.
The cold weather is upon us, the council’s gritting team have been out. They haven’t the resources or time to grit every street but do an excellent job on making sure our main roads are gritted.
In this cold weather, we do think of those who are sleeping out without proper shelter. If you see someone intuit position, you can ask for help for them at this link
https://thestreetlink.org.uk/start
This saves you having to find the appropriate authority. You can find helpful information on this council’s web site:
https://www.wakefield.gov.uk/your-district/support-is-available-for-rough-sleepers-this-winter
Something to look forward to in late December - The ice rink, popular last year, returns.
