Tonight, there will be an interesting talk with the title ‘Made in Yorkshire’. 7pm at Trinity Church hall. Only £2 if you aren’t a member of the host, Castleford Historical Society.

In a week’s time, Wakefield Council and its partners starts 16 Days of Action, a campaign to raise awareness of and stop domestic abuse. This is a good cause that I hope we all support.

16 Days of Action: Combatting Domestic Abuse

16 Days of Action is an annual international campaign, aimed at raising awareness of and preventing domestic abuse and violence against women. 

The campaign starts on Tuesday 25 November 2025, International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women, and ends on 16 days later on 10 December 2025, Human Rights Day.
