CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING OF NEWS AND EVENTS 22 OCTOBER 2025
22 October 2025 Compiled by Tony Wallis of 'Talk Castleford with Tony’
Wheldon Road is closed for the time being. It's usually a busy road so this temporary closure is causing traffic to divert.
Last night, Eric A Jackson gave us his entertaining talk on crime and punishment through the ages. The talk, hosted by Castleford Historical Society, was well attended with the audience finding the talk interesting. It was shocking to learn that until recent times, women were treated worse than men when it came to punishment.
