CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING OF NEWS AND EVENTS 2 OCTOBER 2025
Compiled by Tony Wallis of 'Talk Castleford with Tony'
Good morning. Among the local news items I see articles about violence and other criminal activities. Don't let them make you think Castleford is not a pleasant town. Stories make the news because they are rare events, not everyday ones. Compared to a lot of other similar towns and city districts, Castleford is a safe place. What do you think?

Every morning as part of my work as a local councillor I seek the latest local news on the web. As a public service, I now publish this daily briefing on this blog.
