Wakefield Council’s cabinet will be holding a question and answer session after their meeting on 18 November 2025. If you’re a resident and wish to submit a question, email yourdistrict@wakefield.gov.uk, giving your ahem and address. The meeting and the Q and A session will be transmitted on YouTube.

Pumpkin Patch. Kids can pick their own pumpkin, carve it into a spooky masterpiece, and snap a photo with seasonal scarecrow and wheelbarrow displays.

Conservation area in Castleford
Wakefield Council is consulting on conservation areas in the district. At the moment Castleford has none. However, there is a proposal for one in part of the town centre. Further information can be found at
