CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING OF NEWS AND EVENTS 25 SEPTEMBER 2025
Our MP, Yvette Cooper, explains how she and the council are helping Castleford in a newspaper article and video (see under 'News" for links). What are your views? Given our conversation about helping town centre businesses, I like the government's intention to lower business rates for local shops paid for by increasing rates for large warehouses owned by large companies making millions. Do you agree?
The council is using a couple of libraries in the district for basic health checks. At the council meeting yesterday I asked that Castleford Library be added. What do you think about health care in the town?
