Tickle Cock Bridge, the pedestrian subway from Castlefields to the town centre, is closed today and tomorrow (6 and 7 July 2025) at the start of a new mural there.


Today’s big event is Armed Forces Day at Pontefract Park, arranged by Wakefield Council. The event is expected to be well attended with activities for everyone. Link in "events" below.
