CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING 15 JULY 2025
CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING - 15th JULY 2025
Compiled by Tony Wallis
Every morning, to make my work as a local councillor more efficient, I search the web for a daily briefing of news and events. While it was originally for my benefit, I’ve realised it is a service to share with others. It is a briefing so just headlines and sources I’ve come across and checked.
Please let me know if there are any events or news you think I need to add. Contact details are on the home page of this blog.
Carl visited my advice surgery recently with his idea of a project in honour of his late daughter, Sophie. You can find out more by clicking in the link in the news section. I’m doing what I can to help him realise his dream.
Junction 32 is giving away gift vouchers today (Tuesday 15 July 2025). The vouchers are hidden throughout the outlet.
One event missing from the lists this year is the Smawthorne Gala. Although the event has been very successful, time commitments and a lack of new volunteers means it’s not going ahead this year. The group (Smawthorne Welfare Action Team) do point out that improvements to the welfare, including a renewal of the memorial garden to Craig Hobson, are going ahead.
