Road works - Ashton Street. Scheduled from today (12th May 2025) until 19th May 2025 (or before if the works are completed). Road closed. Diverted routes for residents. There are also road works at Airedale Road today to deal with a telecom repair.

Mural by artist Jay Gilleard at the junction of Beancoft Road and Carlton Street is nearing its completion. The character is an interpretation of Cartimandua. She was queen of the local people the Brigantes at the time Rome was spreading its influence in Britain.
