CASTLEFORD DAILY BRIEFING OF NEWS AND EVENTS 30 OCTOBER 2025

30 October 2025 Compiled by Tony Wallis of 'Talk Castleford with Tony’

The Castleford Civic Society are judging Halloween shop windows in the town. The society has been judging festive windows for many years. A few years ago, Halloween windows were added. The idea is to praise those businesses that make an effort and encourage others to join in. These displays are part of what makes the town centre a joy to shop in, don't you agree? The society will host an awards ceremony early next year.
