COUNCILLOR TONY WALLIS - WARD 4 REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER 2025 I attended the VJ Day 80th ceremony at the War Memorial Traffic management on Churchfield Lane This and the roads that come off it have always been a problem. A few years ago I arranged a public meeting with the residents’ group. Another one is to be held soon.  Over the years, the council has bought in improvements but there’s always more that can be done. Just yesterday, I had to stop while approaching the roundabout on Churchfield Lane. A driver had decided not go around the roundabout. Former Airedale Hotel - derelict eyesore becomes a success I am now pleased to see this once derelict building will be in full use from next month. The upstairs are flats, the ground floor opens next month (October 2025) as an Asda Express. Congratulations to ‘Forever After’ This small business has always been a favourite of mine and I’ve always supported it. I was pleased when it relocated from Pontefract to Castle...
